Narmada Wines at Castleton Festival

The Castleton Festival gratefully acknowledges the generosity to the Festival of Dr. Pandit Patil and Sundha Patil, owners of the Narmada Winery of Amissville, Virginia. The official wine of the 2010 Festival, Narmada wines will be served at all season performances. The Narmada Winery is a winner of the 2009 Virginia Governor's Wine Competition and the 2009 World Wine Championships Beverage Testing Institute. Its 2008 Primita, a Narmada Vineyard Dessert Wine, won the Gold Medal as the 2009 Best Virginia Dessert Wine, called "exceptional." Thomas Jefferson is credited with grape cultivation and winemaking in Virginia. It is in the Jefferson spirit that the Narmada Winery, established in 2001, cultivates its 51 acres of beautiful countryside to produce its excellent wines.
